Focusing on quiet moments and commonly overlooked details, Domestic Diaries explores the intimate and delicate corners of the home. This project examines the true meaning of domicile. In today’s constantly moving and fast paced world, people change countries, apartments and personal belongings ever so frequently. The ‘home’ is constantly displaced and rearranged. This nomadic lifstyle is one I personally relate to having been raised between several cultures and countries. Photographing common objects and elements from my daily environment allows me to construct a familiar habitat – a place called ‘home’ - defined by a familiar sentiment rather than a specific location.
